Main duties of the job are:
Support the delivery of person-centred care under the supervision of registered and non registered nursing staff. Assist patients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, meals). Help with non-clinical duties in a ward or department. Ensure patient safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first. To act as an advocate for patients within the department/ward/unit. To follow FHFT guidelines, policies, and procedures in maintaining safe workingpractices for patients and colleagues. To ensure that patients' receive high quality communication and a goodexperience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs, or principles. Qualifications Essential
Willingness to work towards and complete the Healthcare Support Worker level 2 apprenticeship Evidence of general education, eg GCSE's or equivalent functional skills Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy

Knowledge of personal care and related procedures Vocational qualification at level 2 or equivalent relevant experience
Skills & Knowledge Essential
Moving and handling of clients Personal care to clients in a person-centred manner Follow clear instructions and feedback to senior staff Work safely with minimal supervision Knowledge of how to respect individuality and diversity of patients, their carers, and your colleagues Ability for caring for people with compassion. Ability to follow a clear instruction and accept constructive professional feedback Good basic hygiene skills (e.g., food handling, hand washing etc.)
