We welcome applications from current Band 4 staff seeking a developmental opportunity to progress to a Band 5 role. Successful applicants will be appointed at B4, supported through a structured training program, with progression to a Band 5 position upon successful completion.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled person to take up the full time role as Business Support Deputy. The post-holder will provide effective and efficient administration support to the Business Support Manager and other Senior Leads as required.

Main duties of the job

Directly support the Business Support Manager and will deliver a comprehensive administration service, including arranging and co-ordinating conferences, workshops and meetings as necessary including supporting and coordinating the administrative support for all courses/study days as indicated within the PaMO education workstreams

To be responsible for the data quality through the management of administrative systems and assisting in the collection of sometimes complex data to support the evaluation of services both

quantitative and qualitative.

Contribute to business planning and strategy development and assist the Business Support Manager and Senior Managers in planning and implementing operational initiatives in line with the department strategy.

Provision of project support to key service improvement and projects within the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Department, producing appropriate project documentation and data when appropriate.

Person Specification

Essential Essential

NHS Experience Significant demonstrable experience in a business support / administrative role. Specialist knowledge and practical experience of using Microsoft Office applications

Desirable

Supervisory management qualification Knowledge of various NHS electronic systems e.g ESR.

Desirable Essential

oExperience of line managing staff, including previous supervisory experience
