Job summary Barchester Healthcare are looking for an experienced and dedicated Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role within the home's management team. Providing the General Manager with the support needed to ensure the efficient running of a high quality home, this varied position encompasses managing Customer Experience elements alongside, HR, Recruitment, Payroll, Finance and the supervision of junior members of the administration team. Main duties of the job Barchester Healthcare is seeking a skilled Administrator to be an integral part of the home's management team. This role involves supporting the General Manager to ensure smooth home operations, incorporating tasks in Customer Experience, HR, Recruitment, Payroll, Finance, and overseeing junior admin staff. The ideal candidate will be self-reliant, professional, and capable of fostering a positive image in communications about the home. Strong IT skills, organisational abilities, and confidence in directing others are essential. Responsibilities include creating a welcoming environment, managing enquiries and showrounds, enhancing home occupancy and reputation, assisting with staff recruitment, preparing payroll, and supporting employee queries with HR resources. Additionally, the role includes managing resident feedback and finances, attending meetings, completing rotas, and maintaining secure personal files. Experience in customer-facing roles and HR administration is required, and a CIPD qualification is advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors Manage enquiries and showrounds of the home for prospective families, including managing the customer database appropriately to support the commercial performance and conversion of enquiries for the home Drive the occupancy and reputation of the Care Home as part of a community engagement team Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care Assist with the recruitment of home staff, completing employment new starter checks and arranging inductions Payroll preparation for home based staff Provide advice and guidance to employees on queries using the HR tools and resources available Ensure that all personal files are stored securely Attend meetings and produce accurate notes and minutes where required Ensure all rotas are complete Manage safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts Update ad-hoc training, supervisions, and appraisals on staff records Offer guidance on staff development opportunities including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications

NEED TO HAVE Experience in a customer facing role Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise Proficient user of Microsoft- specifically Word, Excel and Outlook CIPD qualification would be beneficial

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Experience in a customer facing role, involvement in HR administration and recruitment, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, CIPD qualification beneficial.
