Division TEST & VALIDATION Department MC – T&V Level NVH TEST TS Functional Area NVH – TESTING 1 Job Title Testing Specialist 2 Reporting Functional reporting to : L2 3 Background i) Educational Qualification Essential : Diploma in Mechanical from a reputed University / Institute Minimum 60 % marks ii) Experience Minimum: 7 Year(s) Maximum: 15 Year(s) iii) Age Limit Minimum: 28 Year(s) Maximum: 37 Year(s) 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: To carry out NVH testing of 2W, 3W 4W & EV Should have testing experience in the following areas: Noise & vibration measurements PBN measurements as per different country standards Modal testing of sub-assembly, engine components & frame Should have knowledge of EV vehicles Should know about the advanced techniques like NSI, TPA, ODS etc Operation of Chassis dyno / Engine dyno Knowledge about Kaizen Responsibilities: To plan the NVH measurements-based on the requirements/problems and acquire data without any issue Check the accuracy & consistency of the data Prepare reports related to noise & vibration for durability vehicles To perform modal testing of components / frame / sub-assemblies Perform PBN test on 2W/3W & 4W To meet Time & Quality targets set for the activity. Improve existing process using automation / kaizen 5 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: Should be familiar with automobile vehicle terminology. Good knowledge of testing tools Technical Training in relevant areas as per requirement. Exposure to evaluation systems and process of countermeasures. Behavioral Initiative, Desire to Learn Good attitude towards work. Ability to work in a team Specific expertise required for functional area : Fundamental knowledge related to NVH (Critical) Experience on B&K Pulse software or equivalent software Exposure modal and ODS analysis Experience on carrying out PBN testing Operational experience on chassis dyno & engine dyno should be preferable 6 Likely sources OEMs – Tata Motors, M&M, MUL, HML, Ashok Leyland Service Industry – ARAI Tier1 suppliers - Bosch, Hitachi
