Job Description Job Title: Mgr - Vehicle Assembly Level: EX Function: Manufacturing - Pantnagar Department (Sub-function) ME- Vehicle JOB PURPOSE To ensure that the necessary facilities are available in the Final Assembly and related subassemblies for executing manufacturing activities as per Management targets including capacity enhancement, New models, off loading & continual improvement. The role is also responsible for providing technical support to vendors for improving capacity, quality and productivity. INTERACTION WITH STAKEHOLDERS Internal External Direct Manufacturing Assembly, Manufaturing QA, Manufacturing PM Vendors Indirect NA Not Applicable JOB REQUIREMENTS Educational Qualifications Essential: Engg- Mech || Mechanical Engineering /Production Engg / Electrical Engineering Preferred Institution: NIT & Equivalent Desired Qualification: || B.Tech. || Work Exp Min: 6 Max:10 Industry Specification Auto Components, Automobile Addnl Requirements Age Min: 28 Max: 35 Need for travel Low KEY COMPETENCIES Technical/Functional Knowledge of planning, procurement, and commissioning of all manufacturing facilities related to Vehicle side. 2. Knowledge of related tool design, manufacturing for all manufacturing process related to Vehicle side. 3. Awareness & understanding of commercial / negotiation processes for ordering of capital equipment. 4. Knows and able to drive productivity improvements by methods improvements, VAVE cost saving proposals for vehicle assembly. 5. Should have detailed knowledge of products, processes and equipment used in automobile industries. 6. Aware about the latest developments and techniques used for conveyorized assembly and automations. 7. Should posses understanding of engineering drawings, auto cad and 3D drawing software like Team center. 8. Should have knowledge of budgeting, planning and utilization / execution of the same - capital and revenue. 9. Knoweldge of engineering BOM, manufacturing BOM and Materials BOM. 10. Should have knowledge and exposure in implementation of TPM systems, including JH activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and execution of engineering changes for Vehicle Assembly as released by R&D Coordinate Production with the PPC team for the respective Shifts Coordinate hassle free introduction of new models (Vehicle Assembly) as per management plans. Budget planning and execution for ensuring capacity as per management plans. Provide technical support to vendors for improving capacity, quality and productivity. Coordinate with MTD, Automation team to convert manual process into automation. Plan to analyze to improve line RFT / OEE. Provide support to inhouse production shops to improve in PQCDSM parameters. Coordinate with R&D, CD, Materials and vendor for new module development, engineering change implementation as and when required.
