Graduate (Mechanical/ Material Science/ Metallurgy) from Tier1 Institutes only Desirable: Post-Graduate in Engg. (Mechanical/ Material Science/ Metallurgy) or Management from Tier1 Institutes only ii) Experience Minimum: 5 Maximum: 10 iii) Age Limit Minimum: 25 Maximum: 35 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: Manager – Purchase (Raw Materials – Steel Flats/ Coated/ Tubes) Responsibilities: P: Supply Planning based on Demand - RM Suppliers to Tier1 Vendors P: Close monitoring to avoid supply failures & chronic concerns P: Ensure control of SOB & Procurement from approved RM Vendors P: Derisking single / monopolistic sources P: Streamlining supply chain Q: Proactive monitoring of Quality levels from RM suppliers Q: Cross-functional projects to resolve Quality concerns in RM C: Negotiations, Quarterly Price Settlements, control & release of Price Circular C: Cost Saving Initiatives & driving cross-functional VA-VE projects C: RM/Forex forecasting to Finance D: New Advanced RM grades development (for Future models/ applications) 5 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: Material Science for the RM commodity being handled Fundamental Knowledge of RM conversion process Functional knowledge of the product/ application where RM commodity is used Cognitive/ Analytically Strong to handle pricing decisions accurately Good Knowledge of SAP/ MS Excel/ MS ppt – with 100% error proof working Behavioral: Ability to interact with clarity at Senior Management level & with cross-functional teams (R&D, Engineering, Plant, QA, Purchase etc.) inside the Organization & with Vendor Teams Clarity of Thought wrt Strategic + Objective levers Persistent to raise the bar of performance OoQ/ YoY Ethical & System oriented Smart in resolving Conflicts during Interfaces Specific expertise required for functional area: 6 Likely sources Organization example:
