Plant / Location Akurdi BU /Function / Department Materials Level / Grade Plant / Location Akurdi BU /Function / Department Materials Level / Grade EX Designation 1 Job Title Component Development 2 Reporting to LX-CD Team Handling Individual Contributor 3 Educational Qualification Degree in Engineering , Post-graduation in Materials Management desirable. 4 Age Minimum: 23 Maximum: 30 5 Experience Minimum: 5 Maximum: 10 Preferred Exposure : Component development , Vendor Development , Purchase , Part & Tool costing, SCM 6 Job Responsibilities Role: Development of Components for New Projects/Alternate sourcing through Vendors. Responsibilities: Development of Proprietary Vehicle components for Motorcycle & CV Projects as per Project timelines. (Components like Locks , Brakes, Fork & Shock Absorbers, Springs, Cables, Seat Belts, Drive Shaft, Steering System, CNG/LPG Kits, Cylinders, Ball Joints etc ). End to End responsibility for Quality , Cost ,Delivery of the Component. 7 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: Knowledge of manufacturing processes – Casting, machining , Sheetmetal, Rubber molding & Assembly / Testing etc. Zero based costing of components . Supply Chain Management and Vendor Development. Desirable: Knowledge of tools , jigs and fixture design and costing , TPM , IATF, PPAP , APQP, SAP.
