Job Description Job Title: AM/MGR (EXPORT ASSEMBLY - MCD) Level: EX- L3 Function: Manufacturing Operations Department (Sub-function): EXPORT ASSEMBLY – MCD (VEHICLE ASSEMBLY) Office/Location: BAL Waluj - Motorcycle Division. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) JOB PURPOSE Ensure smooth operations of MCD Plant’s Export Assembly Division and meet the Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Yearly Production and Export Dispatch target. Daily 5K – 6K produced vehicles are supplied to export market in CKD / SKD / PLP Modes. Rigorous monitoring of PQCDSME parameters for continuous improvement through TPM Way of working. Continuous interface with cross functional departments like Engine Assembly, Paint Shop, ME, QA, PPC & Vendors for Improvements & challenges to get their support and achieve targets. Close interaction with Service Providers & cell members working on various conveyor lines in Export Assembly to achieve daily output and resolve labour issues and support them for removing their pain areas. Own/support activities related to New Model Introduction, Output/Man/IRU/ Loadability Improvement, Packaging Cost reduction proposals, New Technology Adaptation, Engineering change (ECN) Implementation etc. On job training and development of newcomers. Cell member strength of MCD Export Assembly is @ 500+ working in two shifts. Export Assembly has 4 conveyors. Production is done in both shift basis. Position requires working in Shifts. OR Production & Industrial Engg. from renowned institution Work Experience Min: 5 years Max: 10 years Industry Specification Target Industry: Automotive Vehicle Assembly, Automotive Warehouse Management & Outbound logistics. Additional Requirements Understanding of assembly processes, work content measurement & line balancing techniques. Hands on experience and deep understanding of SAP production transaction codes & ability to Identify gap for Improvements. Preferred Vernacular Language: English & Hindi (Verbal & Non-Verbal) , Marathi – Verbal is an added advantage. Age Min: 26 Yrs Max: 32 Yrs Need for travel Rarely KEY COMPETENCIES (Repository & Standard Libraries for Competency Framework - Drop down options access to Admin) Technical VAVE cost saving proposals / Packaging Cost Optimization. Knows and able to Drive Process/ Productivity improvements. Knowledge & Exposure to implement best assembly practices in production processes. Knowledge of automobile industries multi model assembly lines and material handling. Awareness of newer technologies & automations used for conveyorized assembly process. Sample Vehicle Build for Material BoM Confirmation, Vehicle Testing etc. Drive SAP & System-related improvement Projects. Should have knowledge and hands on experience for implementation of: TPM systems, including JH/KK/E&T/QM ……. pillar activities. Compliance to various ISO System Audits – QMS, EMS, OHSAS (Integrated Management System) Material Flow Optimization & Improvement. Material Handling Improvement & Equipment usage Optimization. Poka-yoke and Automation for Zero Defect Production. Cost & NVA reduction using ECRS Techniques. Drive Safety & 5S to maintain Shop Hygiene & Housekeeping standards in the shop. Safe Operations and handling of Equipment for Primary, Secondary & Third-Party safety. Functional SAP (PRD- Production Module and WM - Warehouse Modules). MS Office Tools Behavioral Able to work in CFT - cross-functional teams to Drive Improvement Projects. Lead to drive Shop Floor Harmony and team working and achieve daily targets. Excellent Verbal & Non-Verbal communication. 6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library) Ensure smooth operations of conveyor lines: Plan and achieve shift wise production target as per quality standards. Provide support to team members in the shops to improve PQCDSME parameters. Interface, plan and execute engineering changes at Export Assembly. Coordinate hassle free introduction of new models as per planned schedule. Plan to analyze & improve line Right First Time / Overall Line Effectiveness / Zero Defect Production. On the job training and capability building of cell members & DTEs for current as well as future roles. Process Enhancement through AI / Digitization activity Ergonomics, Safe work balance improvements on Export assembly lines
