As the organization's technical leader for corrective action processes, root cause analysis, and CAPA methodology, this role champions a culture of continuous improvement by leading complex, cross-functional investigations, strengthening problem-solving capabilities, and ensuring effective resolution of enterprise issues. Partnering closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Operations, Procurement, Quality, business leaders, customers, auditors, and regulators, the Manager monitors program performance, identifies systemic trends and emerging risks, and drives accountability for timely, effective, and sustainable corrective actions across multiple business units. This role ensures corrective actions are rigorously evaluated, implemented, validated, and sustained while proactively escalating significant enterprise risks, program exceptions, and strategic issues to the Senior Manager to support informed decision-making and continuous organizational improvement. As the Manager, Correction Action & Continuous Improvement, here's the work you'll do: Lead the day-to-day execution and administration of the enterprise Corrective Action Program in alignment with the strategy and governance framework established by the Senior Manager. Oversee the evaluation, prioritization, investigation, documentation, tracking, effectiveness review, and closure of significant conditions adverse to quality within delegated authority. Ensure consistent program implementation across business units and escalate systemic risks, significant program exceptions, overdue or ineffective corrective actions, and matters requiring executive attention. Lead complex cross-functional investigations involving technical, operational, organizational, and management-system issues. Facilitate investigation teams using advanced problem-solving methodologies, including Cause Mapping, FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Human Performance, and Barrier Analysis. Evaluate and challenge the adequacy of root cause analyses and corrective action plans and require additional analysis or action when established program standards have not been met. Manage enterprise CAP performance monitoring and program analytics by developing dashboards, key performance indicators, leading indicators, and trend analyses that assess operational program health and identify emerging organizational risks. Provide findings and recommendations to the Senior Manager and business leadership to inform corrective action priorities and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead the technical coordination and resolution of corrective action matters arising from internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. Serve as the primary CAP subject-matter expert during audits, ensure timely and sustainable resolution of findings, verify corrective action effectiveness, and escalate significant regulatory, customer, or enterprise-risk matters to the Senior Manager. Lead the implementation of the enterprise CAP strategy and maturity roadmap established by the Senior Manager. Evaluate program maturity and recommend improvements to governance, procedures, training, lessons learned, tools, and best practices that strengthen organizational learning and management-system effectiveness. Serve as an enterprise champion for continuous improvement by mentoring leaders, coaching process owners, influencing organizational change, and fostering a culture of accountability and proactive problem-solving. Partner with the Senior Manager and business leadership to translate enterprise priorities into corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is for you if you have these skills: Comprehensive knowledge of NQA-1, ISO 9001 , applicable ASME requirements, Corrective Action Programs (CAP), Quality Management Systems, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, Human Performance, Cause Mapping, advanced root cause analysis methodologies, and continuous improvement principles. Ability to lead complex cross-functional investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer, regulatory, internal, and third-party audits, including management of corrective actions associated with audit findings and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, develop executive dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), organizational performance metrics, reporting tools, and improvement plans to support data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business units and organizational levels, influence senior leaders, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with tracking systems, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar). Professional certification such as CMQ/OE, CQA, CQE, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or an equivalent certification is preferred. And if you have these qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline is required; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. At least seven years of progressive experience in quality assurance, corrective action, CAPA, quality management systems, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles within sectors such as EPC, nuclear, construction, energy, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries. A minimum of three years in leadership roles managing Corrective Action Programs or substantial components thereof, including responsibilities for program performance, reporting, cross-functional engagement, and effectiveness of corrective action. In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $104,480 - $156,720 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
