What you’ll be responsible for Assist with the duties and front of house activities associated with the Visitor Attraction centre Reception in an efficient, positive and professional manner ensuring the image and integrity of Welsh Water is maintained at a high level. This will include: Acting as the first point of contact for all external bodies, visitors and members of the public attending the visitor attraction centre Effectively contributing to the visitors’ attractions team objectives and goals. You will be required to assist with meeting room bookings, catering bookings, and deal with day to day enquiries. Contributing to health and safety requirements on site, ensuring a safe and fit for purpose working environment for staff and visitors Assisting the Visitor Attraction management team with ensuring that Welsh Water operates and maintains a safe and secure working environment, achieving the required standards of Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance. Assisting with Fire Registers, evacuations, first aid and security of both staff and visitors Meeting and greeting Visitors, ensuring they sign in the visitor’s book and are met by their site contact Dealing with telephone enquiries and contacting externally and internally, transferring calls, taking messages, answering queries, for all aspects of site activities Assisting Business Support with general day to day administrations tasks Assisting with all elements of post both internally and externally, recorded deliveries, parcels and packages, couriers and special deliveries on site Monitor the booking system for bike hire Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business Assist in the retail area with tills and break cover About you Essential Qualifications Clerical/administration or public relation related qualifications Essential Experience Experience in dealing with members of the public, working in front of house on reception or customer facing role previously Experience in making and receiving phone calls and enquiries, dealing with customers and members of the public on the phone Essential Knowledge & Skills Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day Commercial awareness Knowledge or experience of Health and Safety processes Competent knowledge of computers with experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to make positive decisions and manage situations Must be able demonstrate the ability to undertake tasks on your own within set timescales and also work within a team Ability to communicate effectively in English Good to know Working across a Monday - Sunday rota with possible hours between 8.30am - 6.00pm (to cover an 8-hour working day) Weekends and school holidays are our busiest times where more hours will be available Must be able to work weekends and school holiday periods For more information on the role please contact [email protected] Please note, we may close this role sooner if required.
