Summary: This role manages/supports multiple projects for the purchasing department of our Powertrain Solutions MES (Mechatronic Sensors) team. Your Responsibilities: Organize complex purchasing projects involving extensive specifications of requirements or negotiation processes for projects. Define sourcing activities and execute project-related purchasing activities (incl. Make-or-Buy analysis) for the respective business unit/product line. Create, manage, and support new project acquisitions from a purchasing perspective and provide costed BOMs. Define and execute strategy on every new awarded business in a project tracker to achieve established targets. Implement advanced negotiation concepts on sourcing to maximize benefit. Recommend component derivatives and component or production process innovations to the project team and other interface partners. Effectively cooperate with Category purchasing, following given sourcing and suppliers strategies. Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the supply chain and support change management in projects. Partner with project teams to ensure purchasing activities are aligned with overall project goals. Lead relevant Powertrain Solutions MES (Mechatronic Sensors) purchasing projects to support correct cost structures, on-time launches, and technical cost-reduction initiatives. Manage purchasing activities for launching projects, with a focus on MES products and modules. Participate in and/or lead technical cost-saving initiatives for assigned projects. Support new supplier searches and supplier development activities for the business unit purchasing project and Identify/support to develop local and strategic suppliers. Your Qualifications: Requirements for the position (e.g. training, experience, education, etc.): Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and/or Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of automotive purchasing experience required. Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally; valid passport required. Fluency in English required. Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels, both domestic and international. Highly self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
