What You'll Do:
• Maintain roads, grounds, and gravel surfaces to ensure safe route passage. • Safely operate standard construction and heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, dozers, graders, trucks, dump trucks, and forklifts to maintain roads, runways, and grounds. • Perform daily inspections and operational checks of vehicles and equipment prior to use. • Assist with Mobile Support Equipment (MSE) maintenance and repairs and document maintenance activities. • Clean vehicles, perform fuel dips and fuel transfers, and assist with sealift material delivery. • Load and unload helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. • Respond to site preservation and environmental emergencies. • Identify maintenance requirements and provide support with Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and other site operations as required. • Perform other duties as assigned in support of site operations. Who You Are:
• CREDENTIALS: Licensed Heavy Equipment Operator with Air Brake Certification (DZ Licence) or Valid Class 3 Driver's Licence with airbrakes. Operators of GFE Mobile Support Equipment (MSE) must complete a Safe Backing Course.
• EXPERIENCE: Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks, and similar equipment in a safe manner - expertise with snow clearing is required. Experience or training operating vehicles with attached trailers is required.
• SKILLS: Knowledge of truck and equipment safety, road construction and maintenance techniques, equipment maintenance and storage, and workplace safety procedures. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, snow blowers, and other mobile support equipment.
