_*About the role*_
Niagara Clifton Group is seeking a Systems Analyst to support, improve, document, and maintain the business systems used across our attractions, food and beverage, hotel, parking, and corporate operations. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, this role connects operational needs with practical technical solutions across software, data, reporting, integrations, web systems, networking support, and guest-facing display technologies.
The _Systems Analyst_ works with users and department leaders to understand requirements, improve workflows, troubleshoot system issues, support reporting and integrations, and recommend improvements that help the organization operate efficiently and reliably.
_*Key responsibilities*_
_*Systems analysis and process improvement*_
· Work with departments to understand operational needs, priorities, workflows, and system requirements.
· Gather, document, and translate user requirements into clear technical specifications and practical solutions.
· Evaluate current systems, processes, and workflows to identify issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
· Recommend, test, and support system changes, software improvements, automations, integrations, and reporting enhancements.
· Document processes, system changes, troubleshooting steps, and user guidance so information is clear and repeatable.
· Communicate technical issues, timelines, risks, options, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks or projects while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.
_*Business systems, reporting, and data*_
· Support business systems used in areas such as point of sale, ticketing, admissions, food and beverage, hotel operations, payroll, customer relationship management, parking, and administrative departments.
· Assist with identifying, investigating, and resolving system issues, data issues, workflow problems, and user support needs.
· Create, maintain, and improve reports using tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Report Builder, Power BI, ODBC-connected Excel, SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL Workbench, or similar tools.
· Write, review, and troubleshoot queries, reports, dashboards, data extracts, and other system outputs.
· Support data accuracy, reporting consistency, access control, documentation, and operational visibility across departments.
_*Programming, integrations, and automation*_
· Support or develop scripts, tools, and system enhancements using languages or technologies such as Python, SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Visual Basic, or similar tools.
· Assist with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, integrations, automation workflows, and data exchanges between business systems.
· Use version control and development practices such as Git/GitHub, testing, documentation, and deployment planning where applicable.
· Support environments and tools such as AWS, Linux, CI/CD, Docker, Portainer, Apache Airflow, Flask, React/Next.js, WordPress, or similar technologies as required.
_*Web and technical support*_
· Support web-based systems, internal applications, and digital content delivery tools as required.
· Support basic networking tasks and documentation, including VLANs, trunks, ARP/MAC tables, PoE devices, network devices, and connectivity troubleshooting where required.
· Work with vendors, internal IT resources, and department users to support reliable system performance and timely issue resolution.
