About this role
· Sets tables, serves food and beverages in accordance with established policies and procedures and all applicable regulations in accordance with the corporate HACCP plan.
· Using proper body mechanics unpacks and stores supplies.
· Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
· Washes, cleans and stores dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service.
· Operates and cleans food service equipment and furniture.
· Prepares food items and assembles ready foods for meal trays
· Serves foods in the rooms and dining rooms
· Delivers food trays to units and dining area
· Provide services in dining room and dish room
· Cleans tables, and service counter area after meals
· Washes dishes pots and pans
· Other duties may include light food preparation, portioning and plating.
· Demonstrates knowledge of fire/emergency procedures and policies of the facility; participates in fire and emergency drills.
· Demonstrates knowledge and application of elder and staff safety.
· All safety rules and safe work procedures are adhered to at all times.
· Reports all hazards, incidents, near misses and workplace injuries to the manager immediately and in writing.
· Does not participate in unsafe situations (horseplay), and corrects any unsafe conditions if able.
· Actively participates in all Health and Safety initiatives and make suggestions to improve Workplace Health and Safety.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
