*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate commercial trucks for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations * Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo * Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal truck performance * Verify shipment accuracy, complete delivery documentation, and maintain detailed logs of all trips and freight movements * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly * Assist with forklift operation for loading/unloading freight at warehouses or distribution centers * Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company policies
*Requirements*
* Valid commercial driver?s license (CDL) with a clean driving record * Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in local or regional routes * Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently * Knowledge of freight handling procedures and basic automotive repair skills * Strong attention to detail for verifying shipments and maintaining accurate records * Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods during shifts * Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and dispatchers effectively
