*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. * Provide excellent patient care by addressing inquiries and providing information regarding medications. * Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary. * Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures. * Accurately label medications and prepare prescription orders for review. * Help maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment. * Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals. * Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks as needed.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy assistant is preferred. * Proficiency in WinRx software is an asset. * Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy preferred, but not needed. * In-depth knowledge of Pharmacare and third party insurers. * Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices. * Strong math skills. * Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * A commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
