About this role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Shift. Day.
