Position: Wellbeing Worker – Bank Salary: £12.71 per hour Hours : Zero Hour Contract – varied hours as required (across the following: 09:30 – 2:30 Monday & Wednesday, and Thursday 10:30 – 15:30). Locations: Covering either Aylesbury & Chesham Buckinghamshire Mind is seeking a Wellbeing Worker (Bank Staff) to lead their wellbeing groups in Aylesbury and Chesham. Our Wellbeing Groups provide a safe space for adults experiencing significant and enduring mental health challenges to spend time with other and to develop better wellbeing. Our activities are based around the Five Ways to Wellbeing: Be Active, Connect, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. About Us Buckinghamshire Mind is an independent charity that is proud to be affiliated with national Mind and to adhere to its quality standards of governance and service delivery. Bucks Mind is part of a network of over 100 Local Minds, which provide trusted mental health services to our communities. We connect. We support. We influence. We deliver services in our local communities, in Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire. We promote wellbeing and recovery; we prevent mental ill health; we offer talking therapies and we provide support in times of crisis. Who we need Your role, as part of the team, will be to cover staff absences either planned or short notice. You will engage with people and encourage them to participate in activities such as art and crafting, cooking, interactive games and group discussions you will work with group members to help them assess their wellbeing journey between joining and moving on. If you have some experience of mental health and supporting people, good IT skills, a genuine interest in wellbeing and better mental health and you enjoy creating and facilitating a varied and interesting timetable of activities, this could be the role for you. This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in working with people experiencing mental health challenges and access training and learning opportunities for personal and professional development. You will see your work bring about positive changes to the lives of the people we support. Why Join Us?
