Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team working on projects located in the State of New Jersey for various state and regional agencies. Primary responsibilities will be inspecting heavy highway, bridge, and road projects to ensure contractors comply with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Key duties include daily site inspections, material testing, maintaining daily logs of materials and project progress, and ensuring compliance with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) standards. Quality Assurance: Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials strictly adhere to project specifications. Inspect paving, drainage, and structural elements on site. Document Control: Prepare daily inspection reports, maintain logs of materials used, and document workforce or equipment quantities. Safety & Compliance: Monitor work zones for proper safety measures, including MPT compliance and OSHA regulations. Identify unsafe conditions and enforce environmental regulations (e.g., erosion control). Project Administration: Assist Resident Engineers in processing submittals, tracking pay items, and approving monthly estimates of completed work.
