Wellness Veterinarian Location: Wilmington area, Delaware Schedule: Flexible, on-site, generally 30-40 hours per week Employment type: Direct-Hire Make veterinary care more accessible We are seeking a compassionate Wellness Veterinarian to join a mission-led community animal welfare organization in northern Delaware. This role focuses on making high-quality veterinary care more accessible for dogs, cats, and the people who love them. What you will do Provide wellness care for companion animals, primarily cats and dogs. Support community-facing preventive care and low-cost veterinary services. Participate in a walk-in wellness program that can be fast-paced and high-energy. Perform thorough examinations, preventive care, client education, treatment planning, and timely medical documentation. Use sound clinical judgment in urgent situations, including sedation and basic surgical support when needed. Work collaboratively with veterinarians, care staff, and a wider mission-driven team. Help clients access care through resources designed to reduce financial barriers when possible.
