As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality medical care while ensuring an outstanding client and patient experience. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the veterinarian's primary medical support throughout patient examinations, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up care Obtain complete and accurate patient histories and record vital signs Prepare examination rooms and assist veterinarians during appointments Safely and confidently restrain dogs and cats for examinations and procedures Collect laboratory samples including blood, urine, fecal, and cytology specimens Perform venipuncture and catheter placement Run in-house diagnostic testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and other laboratory procedures Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia under veterinarian supervision Assist with dental procedures and digital radiography Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient condition Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary practice management software Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area while following hospital safety and sanitation protocols Support teammates in creating an efficient, positive, and collaborative work environment
