About this role

As an Avionics Technician (Opto-mechanical) at Impulse, you’ll be responsible for assembling, inspecting and reworking optical and opto-mechanical assemblies used in low-earth orbit and beyond. Your work will directly impact the reliability and mission success of our Mira and Helios spacecraft. · Perform opto-mechanical and electromechanical assembly work. · Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions ·Use optical metrology tools to check quality of optical assemblies. · Troubleshoot issues and rework optical assemblies. · Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly rate and efficiency · Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance on issue resolution, process improvements, and documentation updates. · Record build data and ensure traceability of parts and workmanship per aerospace standards.
