The Opportunity

As a leader in sustainable construction materials, we’re looking for an Asphalt Plant Manager to take full ownership of site operations, driving performance, safety and continuous improvement across the plant.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for optimising production, developing your team and ensuring the site consistently delivers high-quality materials to our customers.

As Asphalt Plant Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the plant’s daily operations — from production and maintenance to safety, quality and team leadership.

You’ll play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement, ensuring the plant not only meets but exceeds performance targets.

What You’ll Be DoingLeading the day-to-day operations of the asphalt plant, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production

Promoting and embedding a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring all activities align with company standards and legislation

Driving production performance, ensuring output, quality and on-time delivery targets are consistently met

Maximising plant efficiency by optimising processes, resources and asset utilisation

Monitoring plant performance and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

Managing and developing plant teams, including recruitment, training, performance management and engagement

Managing site budgets, costs and resources to ensure strong financial performance

Ensuring compliance with all quality standards, environmental requirements and operational procedures

What You’ll BringProven experience in a Plant Manager or similar leadership role, ideally within asphalt, aggregates or a heavy industrial environment

Strong understanding of production, maintenance and operational management principles

Good knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental standards

Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop and motivate high-performing teams

Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements

Ability to create accountability and lead by example

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

IT literacy and familiarity with operational systems

Minimum IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
