We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Lead to join our team. Typical duties assigned to this position: • Lead a software team through Agile software engineering design and development • Employ your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas • Lead Design Review activities to achieve program success • Communicate essential information and coordinate with engineering disciplines and functions • Develop program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance • Ensure the established Software Development Process is implemented successfully • Support important program capture and proposal teams with software baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimating • Work with Discipline Section Leads to determine program staffing needs and “right person/right job”

Required Skills and Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a software architecture role • Proven CAM experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and productivity metrics to ensure efficient team performance. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project execution and practices. • Experience supporting Bid & Proposal activities, including developing proper BOEs. • Solid understanding of software design patterns, architectural styles, and software engineering principles • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret level clearance
Preferred Skills and Education: • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Current DoD Security Clearance • Certification for Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project management techniques • The use of commercially available schedule tools and application of those tools within EVMS is a plus. • Experience implementing to an established Software Engineering design processes • Possesses sound interpersonal communication skills involving interfacing with company personnel, customers, and suppliers • Experience supporting new business capture and proposal teams with development of software engineering cost/schedule estimates • Capable of exercising independent discretion and judgment in the performance of engineering duties, including identifying and managing risks and opportunities. • Ability to develop and implement design solutions, processes, and systems within budget and schedule requirements • Understanding of EO/IR concepts and technologies including Electro-Optical/Infrared Image processing, pointer/tracker systems, and detection algorithms. • Experience creating, reading, and maintaining system models using SysML to support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities. • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
