Job Description: Software Lead / Software Technical Lead for C4ISR

We are seeking an experienced software engineering lead within our Software Engineering organization. This position offers the chance to make a lasting impact while advancing your own leadership and technical career.

In this position, you would have a mix of responsibilities ranging from limited hands-on development, software architecture and software program lead where you would provide day-to-day direction over the actions of a team of talented engineers who are designing and implementing mission-critical software solutions.

Typical duties assigned to this position: • Lead a software team through Agile software engineering design and development • Employ your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas • Lead Design activities to achieve program success • Communicate essential information and coordinate with engineering disciplines and functions • Develop program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance • Ensure the established Software Development Process is implemented successfully • Support important program capture and proposal teams with software baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimating • Work with Discipline Section Leads to determine program staffing needs and “right person/right job”

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Skills and Education: • Must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance in the near future • Experience leading a team of software engineers to complete professional software products • Software experience in a Defense/Aerospace environment • Prior experience developing with C/C++, creating and documenting APIs, Docker, Cmake • Prior experience with requirements tools such as Jama or DOORs.

Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience developing government technical proposals inclusive of technical, cost and schedule • Managing a project using Atlassian JIRA • DevSecOps with tools such as gitlab • Software development for a software defined radio system • Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) • Experience leading programs with Agile Scum and/or Scaled Agile Framework • Experience developing and documenting software architectures utilizig model base engineering tools and methods (UML, SysML, etc) • Embedded software development as an indivual contributor or lead • Prior experience with leading or performing software/ system testing at customer facilities • Experience with Rust, DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E
