About this role

Job summary Are you a passionate Stroke Nurse ready to take the next step in your career and help shape the future of stroke care on the Isle of Man?

Join our friendly, ambitious Stroke Service as a Stroke Thrombolysis Nurse and become part of a team dedicated to delivering outstanding care across the entire stroke pathway. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll provide specialist care in hyper-acute stroke, acute stroke and stroke rehabilitation, while helping to ensure patients receive timely, evidence-based treatment from admission through to recovery.

Main duties of the job This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable registered nurse who thrives on combining clinical expertise with leadership, education and service development. You'll play a key role in advancing stroke and thrombolysis services, driving innovation, contributing to service improvements and delivering the highest standards of care for our island community. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Allied Healthcare Professional Registered with the HCPC. Possession of a recognised teaching and assessing qualification. Diploma or equivalent knowledge relevant to speciality. Leadership/management qualification or willing to work towards.

Experience Essential

Post registration experience to include experience with stroke patients. Ability to interpret research/evidence-based findings in relation to clinical practice. Awareness of legal and ethical issues. Basic IT skills. Knowledge of revalidation guidelines. Evidence of working on own initiative, managing time and prioritising workload. Demonstrates evidence of skills training, assessing and teaching. Ability to facilitate, develop and support all individual staff. Understanding of Risk Management.
