Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly nursing team at the Rutson. The Rutson Rehabilitation unit has 17 beds and is situated within the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. The Rutson multi-disciplinary team provide care and rehabilitation for patients who have suffered from a stroke and other medical conditions which require a period of hospital based recovery.
You will need to be a flexible and adaptable team member, with excellent communication skills, good time management, IT skills, and a willingness to support the team in completing their role.
Previous experience of working in a clerical environment is essential.
Applicants do not need previous experience in this area but this would be advantageous. We will provide you with support and supervision as well as a broad range of training and learning opportunities. Main duties of the job
Duties will include:
o To provide a high-quality efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patientso To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.o To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioningo To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.o To facilitate and book all patient after care, follow up, and appointments.
