10PAs per week
Monday to Friday service between 9am to 5pm
No on call rota
Up to 30 days of study leave over three years
Main duties of the job
The Speciality Doctor will provide medical treatment within a model of multi-disciplinary care
They will attend weekly clinical team meetings and perform medical duties that are decisions of that meeting
They will compile a patients history from a number of sources, and prepare case summaries and discharge summaries
They will liaise with other clinical teams within and outside the trust
The Speciality Doctor will liaise with general practitioners and medical specialists with regards the physical health of the patients
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies.
Clinical duties are to contribute to the MDT management of children with identified neurodevelopmental needs.
To conduct outpatient clinics consisting of routine and urgent new patient assessments and review/follow up appointments.
To carry telephone/remote consultations with service users as appropriate.
To participate in appropriate multi-disciplinary team meetings such as MDT meetings.
To maintain electronic health records in accordance with Trust policies.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience Essential
Excellent knowledge in specialty Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others Previous experience of working in a clinical leadership role with positive relationships with team members. Knowledge about the NHS and understanding the evidence base underpinning the delivery of high-quality services. Ability to manage, improve or to support the clinical operations of the service. Understanding of the importance of excellent team working relationships and ability to put this into practice. Knowledge about mental health policy with ability to think strategically and manage change. Ability to work independently, methodically and safely.
