We are a cohesive multi-disciplinary team, providing assessment, therapy and support to people age 16+ with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Long Covid across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We are recruiting a part-time Band 3 Therapy Assistant to offer virtual and in-person interventions across multiple sites as required, with the option of working virtually from home some of the time. The post is 22.5 hours/week, to be worked over 3-4 days within office hours. We offer flexibility, continual professional development and supervision, as well as a wide range of wellbeing resources and support.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for the co-ordination and associated administration for the PVF service group programmes.
Co-facilitate psychoeducational, peer support and coaching groups with another clinician in the team.
Maintain electronic patient records on Rio.
Attend regular team meetings, supervision and CPD sessions.

Skills and Abilities Essential
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats. Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own time. Ability to cope effectively in stressful situations. Ability to work independently. Ability to take responsibility and act on own initiative. Able to work in a small team. I.T. Skills and competent in using a computer.
Desirable
Ability to follow rehabilitation programmes presented by qualified staff.
Knowledge Essential
Basic knowledge of physical/ mental health conditions. Knowledge of Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy. Understanding of teamwork.
Desirable
Basic knowledge of human biology.
Experience Essential
Experience of working with people, preferably in a caring environment.
Desirable
Previous experience in a therapy setting working alongside therapists. Experience of working and liaising with staff from different disciplines. Experience working with patients with disabilities.
Qualifications Essential
Level 3 qualification (e.g., A-level, NVQ3) in Care or Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSE Grade A-C or Grade 9-4, NVQ2 or equivalent) in Care, and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification on appointment to post. Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Desirable
GCSE English at Grade A-C or Grade 9-4.
