Main duties of the job As a Care Assistant at Cliftonville Care Home in Northampton, your main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality personal care while working as part of a dedicated team to ensure seamless service to residents. You will assist residents with their personal hygiene while maintaining their dignity and independence. Additionally, you'll be responsible for identifying and escalating clinical risk factors such as weight loss, pressure sores, and infections. You will also maintain courteous interactions with residents and their visitors and practice safe systems of work throughout your tasks. Successful candidates will embody the values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. While experience is not required, as Avery offers a comprehensive induction and training program, you should have strong communication skills, initiative, and respect for others. You must also be adaptable and flexible to handle various responsibilities as needed. Applicants must be able to carry out instructions diligently and respectfully towards residents.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.ABOUT YOU

Qualifications Essential
To be successful in this role, candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be respectful towards residents and others. While experience is not required, candidates must demonstrate initiative and adaptability to cover various responsibilities. They should be efficient workers who can carry out instructions from team members. A comprehensive induction and training program is offered to ensure confidence in the role.
