Responsibilities Human Resources Generalist The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department while partnering with employees and managers across the organization. This role serves as a trusted resource for HR-related matters and supports all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service to employees. Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office and two days remote. The first 90 days of employment must be completed fully in the office. Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related questions.
• Partner with managers to address employee relations concerns and provide guidance on performance management, coaching, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
• Process employee transactions within the HRIS, including new hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations.
• Coordinate I-9 verification, employment verification requests, and other employment-related documentation.
• Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and recommend solutions that enhance the employee experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, benefits, recruiting, performance management, compliance, and HR best practices.
• Experience working with an HRIS (Workday experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification.
• Experience supporting a multi-site or field-based workforce.
• Knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO regulations.
• Experience with HR reporting and data analysis.
