Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced operational environment? Heidelberg Materials is looking for a proactive Pre-Planner to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our quarry operations and customer commitments run smoothly and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating activities, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service while supporting the production and supply of essential construction materials.

What You'll Be Doing As a Pre-Planner, you'll be responsible for ensuring customer and business requirements are met in the most professional, cost-effective, and timely manner. You'll be the vital link between customers, operational teams, suppliers, and contractors, helping to keep our quarry operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service for sales enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and related administration.

• Plan and coordinate quarry production activities to ensure customer demands are met efficiently.

• Liaise closely with colleagues, Unit Managers, suppliers, and contractors to support the smooth running of daily operations.

• Monitor quarry activities and support the effective utilisation of labour, plant, and materials.

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, Local Management Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.

• Maintain accurate records and administrative processes.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.

• Participate in training, development programmes, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.

What We're Looking For Essential Requirements

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.

• Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and business software.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
