Autonomous Mining Technology Specialist (f/m) Location Poland, Wrocław.
About the Role The position is designed to drive innovation in mining operations through the implementation of autonomous equipment, advanced digital technologies, data-driven decision-making, and integrated IT/OT solutions. By working within this innovative environment, you will contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of quarrying and mining
You will work closely with operational teams, technology vendors, and global stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing support of autonomous systems, including Autonomous Haulage Systems and other advanced mining technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of mining through innovation, automation, and digital transformation.
Your Responsibilities Strategy & Planning
• Support the development and execution of global and regional autonomous mining strategies. • Contribute to business case development, financial evaluations, and deployment roadmaps. • Identify opportunities for automation expansion and technology improvements. • Help define scalable support models for autonomous mining applications and systems. Project Delivery
• Support the deployment of autonomous mining solutions across various Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) types, including haul trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, and dozers. • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities. • Provide application and technology support throughout deployment phases. • Monitor project performance against scope, timeline, and budget objectives. • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues. • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements. Operations & System Support
• Monitor system performance and optimize equipment utilization and uptime. • Serve as a first-line functional support specialist for autonomous mining applications. • Diagnose issues, coordinate incident resolution, and escalate technical challenges when required. • Support integration with operational technology (OT) environments, fleet management systems, and reporting tools. • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, user guides, and knowledge materials. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on operational insights and performance data. Change Management
• Support training, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities. • Facilitate workshops and readiness programs for operational teams. • Promote adoption of digital technologies and automation across the organization.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, consulting, technology deployment, quarry operations, or Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) operations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience working with data and operational performance metrics. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments. • High level of adaptability, resilience, and ownership.
Nice to Have
• Experience with operational technology applications, fleet management systems, industrial software, or autonomous mining platforms. • Knowledge of IT/OT integration, system commissioning, user acceptance testing, or vendor management. • Exposure to autonomous systems, digital transformation initiatives, or mining operations. • Understanding of Heavy Mobile Equipment and quarry operations.
