About this role
Summary
Responsible for escorting school children to and from school safely across streets and intersections. The starting pay rate is $14 per hour. You will work one hour in the morning from 7:15 am to 8:15 am and one hour in the afternoon from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm (Monday-Friday).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Display symbols, signs, or hand/arm signals indicating that vehicles are to stop for children crossing streets or intersections.
• Blow whistle, hold signs or flags as required.
• Signal children to wait behind the curb until it is safe to cross.
• Direct children to cross streets and intersections safely.
• Monitor the safety and well-being of children en-route to and from school.

Minimum Qualifications
• Completion of 8th Grade.
• No experience required.
• Minimum corrected vision of 20/40 in each eye.
• Corrected hearing of 30 decibels at 1000-3000 hertz.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Must be able to walk at a rate of 4 feet per second for a distance of 160 feet. Work is performed primarily outdoors and may be subject to extremes of heat, cold, rain, humidity, wetness, and traffic hazards.
