South Coast Baptist College (SCBC) is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary School team.

Working collaboratively with the Head of Learning Area and fellow educators, you will deliver engaging, high-quality Mathematics programs that challenge and inspire students while supporting their academic, personal, and spiritual growth. About the role

Working as part of our Secondary Mathematics team, you will:

• Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, including ATAR and General pathways.

• Create positive, inclusive and student-centred learning environments.

• Assess, monitor and report on student achievement using a variety of assessment strategies.

• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.

• Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and resource development.

• Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.

• Participate in College events, co-curricular activities and the wider life of the school.

This is a permanent teaching position available 0.7–1.0 FTE, commencing January 2027.

About you

You are a passionate educator who enjoys inspiring students through engaging and meaningful Mathematics learning experiences.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary Mathematics.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

• Strong planning, organisation and assessment skills.

• A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional growth.

• A desire to contribute to the Christian mission and values of the College.

Essential requirements

• Current (or eligible) Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Mathematics.

• Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.

• National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain.

• Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Active participation in a church or Christian community.

• Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.

• Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment.

Desirable

• Experience teaching ATAR and/or General Senior Secondary Mathematics courses.

• Experience integrating technology into classroom teaching.

• A willingness to contribute to co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
