Your role
This position focuses on understanding your clients' goals and building the best marketing strategy to achieve the most important business objectives. This involves acting as a true advisor: staying curious, listening to your clients and adapting to changes in the market or the clients' businesses, whether that presents opportunities for growth or the need to pivot. Through it all, you are the clients' guide through the execution of strategy, serving as their main point of contact and managing their expectations, feedback and contributions to the work.
What that looks like:
• Knowing your clients' businesses and goals deeply so you can build and continually advise on the best marketing strategy for their needs. This means always looking for untapped growth opportunities, pitching strategic initiatives and switching gears when our original strategy isn't producing expected results.
• Providing guidance and feedback to creative teams that results in ads, landing pages and experiences that drive conversions and pipeline revenue
• Analyzing data, identifying insights that shape creative and strategic decisions, and reporting those insights clearly to clients
• Seamlessly shifting from strategic (e.g., consulting in workshops) to tactical (e.g., setting up campaigns) thinking
• Reading frequently — marketing books, platform updates and other sources — to continually improve your knowledge
• Seeking smart solutions to the inevitable roadblocks in any marketing program
• Constantly challenging the team to think strategically with a focus on outcomes: What’s the best path to help our clients hit their revenue goals?
• Owning communication with your clients and keeping them on track to reach their goals
• Some travel is possible
Within the strategy department, you’ll work closely with the strategy director, senior strategists and performance marketers to resolve issues, define processes and better your teammates.
What that looks like:
• Meeting weekly as a department to identify and work through issues
• Diving into professional development opportunities
• Sharing wins and challenges with the team
• Owning responsibilities for the department
• Taking on additional duties as needed
