Buller District Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community-minded individuals to fill two Independent Director positions on the Board of Buller Holdings Limited.

Who are we? | Ko wai mātou? Buller Holdings Limited is the parent company for council-owned commercial operations. Its purpose is to generate value for Buller ratepayers while supporting the wider community. The Buller District Council is the sole shareholder of the company. Its subsidiaries deliver a range of essential services including water services, civil construction and maintenance, parks and reserves management, and recreational facilities through the Pulse Energy Recreation Centre. These organisations contribute significantly to the social, environmental, and economic success of our district.

Essential:

• Strategic thinking and sound decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and relationship management abilities.

• An understanding of governance principles and director responsibilities.

• The ability to identify opportunities and manage risk effectively.

• Existing legal right to work in New Zealand.

Desirable:

• Previous governance or board experience.

• Experience in business, professional services, infrastructure, agriculture, trades, contracting, or related sectors.

• A strong understanding of the Buller District and local communities.

• Residence within the Buller District
