VP of Technology and Engineering - SaaS Platform and Engineering Operations

We are seeking a VP of Technology and Engineering to lead this next phase of growth. Reporting directly to our leadership team, the successful VP of Technology and Engineering will be responsible for engineering delivery, DevOps, QA, and IT operations, driving innovation and operational excellence across the organization.
The Opportunity:
As the senior technology leader for roomMaster, you will own the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of our modern cloud platform. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution — ensuring our technology organization scales effectively to meet customer, product, and business needs.
This is a unique opportunity for a CTO or VP caliber leader to shape the technology direction of a growing SaaS platform within Aspire’s global ecosystem.

Your Mission:
Lead Modernization: Advance the evolution of roommaster’s cloud solution – enhancing performance, scalability, and reliability through modern engineering practicesDrive Delivery Excellence: Oversee software development, QA, DevOps, and IT operations to ensure timely, high-quality releases aligned with company prioritiesCollaborate on the Roadmap: Partner with product management and business leadership to align engineering execution with product vision and strategic objectivesManage Budgets and Vendors: Oversee technology budgets, resource allocation, and vendor or outsourcing relationships to optimize delivery speed, quality, and costOperationalize KPIs: Establish and track key performance metrics – release velocity, uptime, delivery predictability, and system performance – to measure team impactBuild and Empower Teams: Develop high-performing teams and leaders, cultivate a culture of ownership and accountability, and promote best-in-class engineering processesChampion Innovation: Identify opportunities for AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance product value and customer experienceAbout You:
10+ years of progressive technology leadership in SaaS or enterprise software organizationsAt least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline Proven experience leading modernization of cloud-based platforms with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliabilityStrong background in software engineering, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure operationsDemonstrated success managing technology budgets, vendors, and distributed teamsSkilled at aligning product and engineering initiatives to achieve business outcomesData-driven mindset with experience defining and managing KPIs for engineering performance and deliveryExcellent communication and leadership presence, with the ability to influence at all levels — from engineers to executivesEntrepreneurial spirit aligned with Aspire’s philosophy of ownership, innovation, and long-term growth5+ years of proven experience as a director or manager of engineering 5+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, software engineering and architecture, including full-stack development Some travel may be required for leadership and cross-company collaborationFluent in English, both written and verbal, is essentialLegally authorized to work in Canada Why Join roommaster and Aspire Software:
