Job Title: Cafeteria Worker Reports to: Cafeteria Manager Department: Food Services Salary Range: Based on experience Term: One year with the option for renewal, contingent on funding and performance Primary Responsibility Serves attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. Essential Responsibilities
• Assists in the preparation of all food portions on a regular rotating schedule.
• Serves students and staff working areas.
• Maintains clean, sanitary working areas.
• Sets up the serving line, cleans the serving area and dining area.
• Maintains and uses equipment with care.
• Runs dish machines and replaces trays and silverware.
• Washes pots and pans.
• Cleans and mops the kitchen floor.
• Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Performs related duties as required including duties at special meal functions.
Required Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent, desirable.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be receptive to change.
