Job Description:
The Intersession Teacher (Casual) enables all students to pursue their education in the context of remediation and extension classes offered during Tucker's two-week Intersession program. There are Mulitple Openings for this position, at this location. Intersession period: September 28, 2026 through Ocotber 9, 2026 Qualifications:
• Evidence of a negative tuberculin test (or chest x-ray)
• Criminal background check — (the cost to the applicant is $37)
• At least 48 hours of college coursework
Essential Functions:
• Reports to proper authority upon arrival thirty (30) minutes before the official school opening.
• Reviews with the proper authority, department head, or grade level chairperson all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
• Maintains as fully possible the established routine and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
• Follows the lesson plan as prepared by the absent teacher.
• Consults with proper authority before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the teacher's lesson plan.
• Remains in the assigned classroom until thirty (30) minutes after the official school closing and reports for the assigned duty of an absent teacher.
• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
Compensation:
• Non-Licensed Teacher hourly rate: $25.72
• Licensed Teacher hourly rate: $46.02
Clearance
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
• Tuberculosis Skin Test
• Public Health Compliance - Must follow safety and health protocols.
