WORK HOURS: Approximately 5.5 hours daily, M-F; 7:00am - 12:30pm, school year only SUMMARY: This position will fill various roles throughout the center as needed; assisting with meals and snacks, covering teacher breaks in classrooms, light custodial, and other duties as required. There is an opportunity for this position to occasionally work full days to cover classroom teacher absences. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. **This person must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and drug screen, as well as complete required childcare training videos. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach about the head and reach forward. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move cleaning supplies and equipment. The employee will sometimes push/pull items. The employee will frequently be required to go up and down stairs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is continuously required to meet deadlines with time constraints, interact with the public and other staff.
