Job Title: Specialist - PEIMS Interface Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt / At-Will Reports To: PEIMS Coordinator Pay Grade/Days: 209/226 Dept./School: Assigned Campus Date Revised: August 2026 Primary Purpose: This position provides support for all program enrollments, attendance, registration, and computer access to student Information systems software to ensure data quality and integrity for state reporting.

Qualifications: Education/Certification: Two-year degree preferred Appropriate job-related experience may be substituted for degree Special Knowledge/Skills: Extensive working knowledge of district Student Information Systems software Knowledge of district and state policies regarding attendance, course requirements, grade reporting, and Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS) Knowledge of TSDS error resolution Ability to use database, spreadsheet, and word processing with Google Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Word/Excel Ability to speak, read, and write clearly and distinctly Ability to develop and conduct large group training sessions Ability to work cooperatively with administrators, teachers, co-workers, and support staff Experience: Proven experience working with PEIMS systems at the campus or district level.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Train and support campus and administrative staff on student information system software applications for attendance, grade reporting, scheduling, registration, discipline, PEIMS, transcripts, and medical • Develop quality training materials and manuals to assist end-users in utilizing software and resolving problems. • Audit the campuses to ensure the campus is following the rules and regulations • Assist in ensuring the student information system applications are supportive of district guidelines and goals and in compliance with TEA reporting guidelines. • Coordinate with campus PEIMS Specialists to correct TSDS Unique ID errors • District point of contact for assistance with Online Registration for parents and campus support staff (telephone and email support) • Coordinate with district staff in the review and correction of data for TSDS submissions for accuracy • Maintain accurate data on discipline and special programs. • Attend PEIMS workshops, as appropriate, to maintain a detailed current knowledge of PEIMS and Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements to ensure district compliance with laws and regulations. • Distribute reports to campus personnel as necessary • Maintain filing system • Provide clerical support to PEIMS Coordinator • Keep PEIMS Coordinator informed and up-to-date on business services events and processes. • Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy. • Maintain confidentiality • Promote Waco ISD in all aspects of business operations and business relationships. • Promote the overall enhancement and improvement of Waco ISD. • Perform other duties as assigned.
