About this role
Job Overview The tutor works with students in grades K-8 in small groups of students of five or less, who need additional academic support. Roles and Responsibilities The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. • The tutor works side by side with the classroom teachers and administrators to help students improve academic skills.
Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable. Education High school diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience NA Licenses and Certifications Teacher licensure in grades K-8 preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to relate to children, teacher, and other school staff
• Knowledge of educational evidence-based best practices in education
• Ability to keep and maintain accurate records and meet deadlines
