About this role
Job Posting: Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and document student health status and communicate with families and staff as appropriate
• 1:1 monitoring and providing care while on school transportation and at school
• Collaborate with school staff to support student access to education
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
• Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in pediatric, community health, or school nursing preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively in dynamic environments
Preferred Skills:
• Experience supporting students with specialized health needs such as Diabetes, Seizures, Tracheostomies, G-Tubes, Ventilators, etc. Familiarity with special education processes and documentation
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered care.
Work Schedule & Environment:
• Providing nurse care services on school transportation to/from student's home and while at school
• Schedule - as needed when nursing staff is absent
