• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• DESE Certification in the content area
• SEI Endorsement
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with elementary and secondary learning principles
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
• Cori and fingerprint clearance are required

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, 184 days
JOB SUMMARY: As a teacher in the Mashpee Public Schools, you will be expected to provide rigorous Instruction to the diverse population of students; align your teaching to the district and state standards; regularly assess students for learning comprehension, and modify your teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of ALL students, including students who are learning English, and to build positive and productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
• Create and maintain an educational environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the academic, social, and emotional development of students;
• Assess the academic and behavioral needs of students and collect data related to IEP goals;
• Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEPs;
• Implement an instructional program for assigned students according to their lEP through the provision of direct instruction, co-teaching, modifications, and accommodations;
• Plan and supervise assignments for paraprofessional(s);
• Act as Case Manager for a group of assigned students and complete required processes and paperwork;
• Participate in IEP meetings, Manifestation Determinations, Transition Planning, and other meetings as appropriate, including completion of all relevant documentation in a timely and professional manner;
• Contribute to the MTSS process through consultation.
