Note: This position is for a crossing guard at Thomas Jefferson Elementary or Liberty High School each morning and afternoon. (select the separate posting if you are able to do both morning and afternoon) Payable hours are from 7:00am-9:00am or 2:00pm-4:00pm. Job Summary Position serves to insure the safety of students, faculty, staff and citizens relating to the flow of vehicle traffic at the school. Essential Duties 1. Direct vehicle traffic and insure the safe arrival and departure of all students and citizens. 2. Perform such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. 3. Training required and will be provided. Job Specifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications A high school graduate or equivalent is preferred. A valid Virginia driver's license with proper endorsements and a good driving record are preferred. Such alternative experience as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
