Position Title: 6th Grade Humanities Teacher Location: Pound Middle School Position Details: Pound Middle School seeks a 1.0 FTE (full-time) 6th Grade Humanities Teacher. Lincoln Public Schools is seeking a candidate committed to excellence in education. The candidate will need to work collaboratively with multiple team members and make decisions in line with Pound Middle School's mission: Grow Together Belong Together Lead Together A strong candidate for this position would have exceptional instructional and classroom management skills, demonstrate effective communication and strong academic/curriculum skills, use assessment to drive instruction, provide quality feedback to all learners, and desire to teach in a culturally rich school environment. Ability to create strong relationships with all students; effective communication skills; daily use of assessment to drive instruction and quality feedback to all learners; willingness to serve the community in all aspects; learner in the art and science of teaching; a reflective educator, an individual who understands the practices of cultural proficiency and applies those practices with students, staff, and families. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
