About this role
Reports To: Head Cook, Building Principal and Food Service Director Job Goal: To prepare nutritious, great tasting meals (breakfast & lunch) for students and staff within the Child Nutrition guidelines of NSLP and maintain a clean/sanitary kitchen. Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of Food Handlers Permit.
• Two years' experience in quantity cooking or training in institutional cooking.
• Basic computer skills of Word, Excel and be families with Skyward or be willing to learn within first 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge on operating and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass physical.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.

Performance Responsibilities:
• Work under the District Head Cook or Assistant Head cook
• Operate cooking and kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen equipment. Keep kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Upon request, transport food to/from satellite kitchen.
• Perform related duties as requested and required for efficient operation of food service program.
Terms of Employment:
• 182 work days
• Salary: Per 26-27 PSE Salary Schedule
