Henley High School is seeking dynamic and engaging candidate for the Health Occupations Position: Required Qualifications:
• CTE License in Health Sciences or the equivalent
• Advanced Health Service Certification preferred
• Experience in Health Care Service Industry, with emphasis in direct patient care preferred
• Experience in teaching Health Occupations at the HS level or above
• Ability to work collaboratively with district level colleagues as well as post-secondary personnel
• Curriculum development based on health care/service industry standards
• Willingness to serve as the HOSA Advisor
Courses to be taught:
• Health Occupations - Dual credit course introducing students to the field of Health Occupations and Medical Terminology
• Sports Medicine - Course designed to introduce students to the basics of athletic training
• Nutrition and Wellness - Course designed to develop a deep understanding of how to be physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally healthy.
• First Aide and Beyond - Dual credit course designed to provide students with medical first aide certification
Primary Function: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program, as designated by the Klamath County School District, in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential Preference will be given to candidates willing to coach and advise extra-curricular opportunities available. Opportunity to work in a unique environment in a supportive community surrounded by abundant outdoor recreational activities Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations This is a temporary position for 2026/2027. COMPENSATION:
• 190 day contract
