This would be an ideal position for a flexible candidate with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for instructing High School age students, grades 9-12, as well as college level math. The candidate must be able to use highly effective engagement practices and differentiated instruction to reach the various needs of our learners. The candidate must be able to interact with students, parents, colleagues and community members in a positive, respectful, and responsible manner. The candidate is expected to believe in the success of every student and to inspire them to achieve that success. Qualifications:
• Current Oregon Teacher License with appropriate endorsements preferred
• Additional endorsements strongly preferred
• Must be willing and qualified to teach Dual Credit College Level Math Courses
• Knowledge of, or strong interest in, STEM/PBL education is preferred
• Knowledge of current concepts, methods and procedures for curriculum development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Knowledge and implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
• Skilled at Formative & Summative Assessment Practices that align with the CCSS
• Skilled at Differentiated Instructional Practices
• Skilled at Student Engagement Practices
• Desires to be a part of the Culver school community outside of the classroom
• Other skills in coaching, club advising, leadership, student council, etc., preferred
